The 2007 NCAA Membership Report, the first to be made available exclusively through digital means, can now be accessed on www.NCAA.org.
The report will be located on the “Budget and Finances” section of “About the NCAA” on the front page of NCAA.org. It also will be accessible through an icon on the right-hand side of the front page.
“Technology itself does not ensure effective communication,” said NCAA President Myles Brand, “but used properly, it creates information opportunities that ink and paper cannot. This format enables us to do a much more thorough job of reporting the activities of the Association to the membership.”
In addition to the formal financial statement for the 2006-07 fiscal year, the report offers many new features that were not available in the printed version of the book. These include:
• A video introduction by Brand.
• A video describing how NCAA revenue is distributed.
• Links to NCAA News stories for all meetings of the NCAA Executive Committee and the governing bodies of each division.
• Links to NCAA News stories detailing the results of all 88 NCAA championships.
• Year-by-year rosters of the Association (by division and subdivision) for each year since 2000-01.
The report also features animated charts, along with a complete set of printable charts that appear together in a special section.
