Corey Jackson, a director in the diversity and inclusion department at the NCAA national office since 2005, has announced he is leaving the Association.
Jackson, the primary staff liaison to the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee, oversaw development and implementation of diversity and inclusion education programs for all student-athletes, coaches and officiating staff, and institutional personnel responsible for athletics administration. He also administered diversity-related professional-development programming.
Before his appointment with the diversity and inclusion staff, Jackson was an assistant director of student-athlete reinstatement for three years. Before that, he worked in Washington, D.C., as legislative counsel to U.S. Rep. Steny H. Hoyer. Jackson also worked in private practice for a year as an antitrust division contract attorney.
He has degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of Miami School of Law.
