The College Sports Information Directors of America selected the members of its 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Men’s At-Large Teams, led by Syracuse lacrosse player Mike Leveille and Kenyon swimmer Josh Mitchell.
Levielle, the university division Academic All-American of the Year, won the Tewaaraton Trophy earlier this year and was also the most outstanding player of the Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Leveille led the team as captain and with 49 goals and 34 assists.
Mitchell, the college division Academic All-American of the Year, was the 2008 NCAA Swimmer of the Year. He won six events and finished second in a seventh event to help Kenyon win the Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship. He is an 11-time national champion and a member of three national championship teams.
