The 2008 NCAA Expert Coaches Academy will provide programming and networking opportunities for 28 football coaches June 5-7 in Dallas.
The academy was created to address the critical shortage of ethnic minorities in head football coaching positions, primarily in Division I. While the national office cannot dictate hiring decisions to member institutions, the Association provides programming to better prepare coaches for issues they will experience in primary positions.
The programming includes communications, fiscal responsibilities, management, compliance and academics. Participants in this year’s Expert Coaches Academy represent all three NCAA divisions.
