Registration for the 2009 NCAA Convention at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C., is open, and more than 1,100 people have taken advantage of early rates on registration fees and guaranteed hotel rates.

Because the Convention dates – January 14-17 – are so close to the January 20 presidential inauguration, hotel rooms must be reserved by December 5 to receive the guaranteed rate. After that, hotel rooms will be subject to market pricing, which may be substantially higher than the Convention hotel room rate.

Registration fees will also increase between now and the Convention. If you register by October 13, the fees are:

• NCAA members, $250

• Non-members, $350

• Current undergraduate and graduate students and 2008 graduates, $25

Between October 14 and December 5, the rates will be $375 for members, $475 for non-members and $50 for current students and 2008 graduates. From December 6 through on-site registration, the fees will be $500 for members, $600 for non-members and $75 for current students and 2008 graduates.
