NOVEMBER


Division I Baseball
September 14-November 11: Contact period.
November 12-15: Dead period.
November 16-January 3, 2008 (12:01 a.m.): Quiet period.
January 3 (12:01 a.m.)-January 7 (12:01 a.m.), 2008: Dead period.
January 7 (12:01 a.m.)-February 29, 2008: Quiet period.


Division I Men’s Basketball
October 6-March 31, 2008: Evaluation period, except for the dates noted below. All live evaluations during the academic year (except during the April contact period) shall be limited to regularly scheduled high school, preparatory school and two-year college contests/tournaments, practices and regular scholastic activities involving student-athletes enrolled only at that institution):

Exceptions:
• November 12-15: Dead period.
• December 24-26: Dead period.
• March 16-22, 2008: Contact period:


Division I Women’s Basketball
September 16-April 22, 2008: Evaluation period. Women’s basketball staff members shall not exceed 100 recruiting-person days. A recruiting person day is defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting activity of a women’s basketball prospect on one day; two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting days.

Exceptions:
• Those days from September 16-April 22, 2008, not designated above for contact or evaluation purposes: Quiet period.
• November 12-15: Dead period
• December 24-26: Dead period.
• March 1-April 3, 2008: Contact period.
• April 4-17, 2008: Dead period, except one women’s basketball event certified by the NCAA (Bylaw 30.18) held in conjunction with and conducted in the host city of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship (evaluation period). Also, April 11-13 is a quiet period.
Note: Evaluations are permitted at nonscholastic women’s basketball events April 18-20, 2008.


Division II Men’s Basketball
October 15 to the date of the prospect’s initial high school or two-year college contest: Quiet period.
November 12 (7 a.m.)-November 14 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
The period between the prospect’s initial and final high school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.


Division II Women’s Basketball
October 15 to the date of the prospect’s initial high school or two-year college contest: Quiet period.
November 12 (7 a.m.)-November 14 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
The period between the prospect’s initial and final high school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.


Division I Football
August 1-November 24: Quiet period, except for the following:
• In the Football Bowl Subdivision, six days during the months of September, October and through November 24, 2007, selected at the discretion of the institution (an authorized off-campus recruiter may visit a particular educational institution only once during this evaluation period): Evaluation period.
• In the Football Championship Subdivision, 42 evaluation days (see Bylaw 13.02.9) during the months of September, October and November (not to exceed a period of 42 days), selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; authorized off-campus recruiters shall not visit a prospective student-athlete’s educational institution on more than one calendar day during this period: Evaluation period.
November 25-February 2, 2008, with the exceptions noted below. Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this time period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week: Contact period.

Exceptions:
• December 16: Quiet period.
• December 17-January 3, 2008: Dead period. Institutional staff members may have contact with a prospective student-athlete who has been admitted for mid-year enrollment, provided the prospect has signed a National Letter of Intent or other offer of admission and/or financial aid to attend the institution and is required to be on campus to attend institutional orientation sessions for all students.
• January 4-6, 2008: Quiet period.
• January 7-10, 2008: Dead period.
• January 11-12, 2008: Quiet period.


Division II Football

November 1-30: Evaluation period. [For two-year college prospects, the conclusion of the prospect’s two-year college football season (that is, the conclusion of the institution’s regularly scheduled contest rather than the conclusion of the institution’s final postseason contest) through November 30: Contact period.]


Division I Men’s Lacrosse
September 1-November 11: Contact period.
November 12-15: Dead period.
November 16-20: Contact period.
November 21-25: Dead period.
November 26-December 23: Quiet period.


Division I Women’s Lacrosse
September 1-November 11: Contact period.
November 12-15: Dead period.
November 16-20: Contact period.
November 21-January 1, 2008: Quiet period


Division I Softball

October 12-November 4: Contact period.
November 5-11: Contact only (no evaluation).
November 12-15: Dead period.
November 16-22: Contact only (no evaluation).
November 23-28 (12:01 a.m.): Quiet period.*
November 28 (12:01 a.m.)-December 2 (12:01 a.m.): Dead period.
December 2 (12:01 a.m.)-January 1, 2008: Quiet period.*
*Each institution is limited to 50 evaluation days (August 1-July 31) per Bylaw 13.02.6.2. Those days do not include employment of coaches in instructional camps/clinics or the observation of prospects participating in high school softball competition.


Division I Track and Cross Country
August 12-November 19 (12:01 a.m.): Contact period.
November 19 (12:01 a.m.)-November 20 (12:01 a.m.): Dead period.
November 20 (12:01 a.m.)-December 9: Contact period.


Division I Women’s Volleyball
August 1-November 11: Contact period.
November 12-15: Dead period.
November 16-December 2: Contact period.
