APRIL
Division I Baseball
March 1-April 8: Contact/evaluation period.
April 9-12: Dead period.
April 13-August 31: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Men’s Basketball
March 29-April 5 (noon): Dead period.
One men’s basketball event certified by the NCAA (see Bylaw 30.19) held in conjunction with, and conducted in the host city of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship: Evaluation period.
April 9-12, 2007: Dead period
Division I Women’s Basketball
September 16, 2006-April 17 (note exceptions below): Evaluation period. Women’s basketball staff members shall not exceed 85 recruiting-person days. A recruiting-person day is defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting activity of a women’s basketball prospect on one day; two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting days. Those days from September 16-April 17 not designated for contact or evaluation purposes: Quiet period.
Exceptions:
December 24-26, 2006: Dead period.
March 1-29: Contact period.
March 30-April 12: Dead period, except for one women’s basketball event certified by the NCAA held in conjunction with and conducted in the host city of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship (evaluation period) and April 6-8, 2007 (quiet period).
April 18-July 5: 2007: Quiet period.
Division II Men’s Basketball
March 29-April 3 (noon): Dead period. Exception: Evaluations shall be permitted at any all-star contest held during the final weekend of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in the host city.
April 3 (12:01 p.m.)-April 9 (7 a.m.): Contact period.
April 9 (7 a.m.)-April 11 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
April 11 (7 a.m.)-May 14: Contact period.
Division II Women’s Basketball
March 1-May 14: Contact period. Exception: April 9 (7 a.m.)-11 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
Division I Football
February 9-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Evaluation period. Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics (an authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess the prospect’s athletics ability and one evaluation to assess the prospect’s academic qualifications during this evaluation period).
Those days in April/May not designated above for evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
Division II Football
March 13-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Evaluation period. Exception: Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics.
Those days in April/May not designated in for evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
Division I Men’s Lacrosse
January 4-April 8: Contact/evaluation period.
April 9-12: Dead period.
April 13-May 24: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Women’s Lacrosse
January 2-April 8: Contact/evaluation period.
April 9-12: Dead period.
April 13-May 24: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Softball
January 2-April 8: Contact/evaluation period.
April 9-12: Dead period.
April 13-May 28: Contact/evaluation period.
May 29-June 7 (noon): Dead period.
June 7 (noon)-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Women’s Volleyball
January 13-April 8: Contact/evaluation period.
April 9-12: Dead period.
April 13-30: Contact/evaluation period.
May 1-25: Quiet period.
