Beautifying the campus — Eastern Michigan University student-athletes and administrators have recently displayed pride in their surroundings. Football student-athletes and administrators participated in Ypsilanti Pride Day May 19. The event, organized by the Ypsilanti Chamber of Commerce, was designed to beautify the parks, streets and neighborhoods in Ypsilanti. Just weeks later, the football student-athletes were at it again, joined by members of the women’s volleyball, men’s golf, baseball and women’s tennis teams as well as Eastern Michigan faculty and staff members for Eastern Michigan University Pride Day. On June 1, the student-athletes spent time landscaping and otherwise improving the campus. The event was organized by the business and finance department and the employees of the campus physical plant.
