House-warming gifts — Habitat for Humanity representatives hand gift baskets to a new homeowner and her daughter during a July 30 dedication ceremony in Pensacola, Florida. The NCAA financed construction of six homes in a neighborhood devastated by hurricanes over the last few years. More than 500 student-athletes from teams competing at the 2006 Division II Fall Championships Festival last November and from the University of West Florida framed the homes. Local volunteers completed the homes over the last eight months. Participants at the dedication included NCAA President Myles Brand and Pfeiffer University President Charles Ambrose.
