Vicky Chun has been hired as an assistant director of athletics at Colgate.
Chun, who has filled the position on an interim basis since last summer, has been executive director of the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association since 2001. Before taking the post at the NYSWCAA, she founded and operated her own company, the Collegiate Sports Advantage. As head women’s volleyball coach at Colgate from 1994 to 1997, Chun guided the Raiders to a 67-27 record, two Patriot League championships and their first NCAA tournament berth. She also was a member of the 1997-98 NCAA national office intern class.
A 1991 graduate of Colgate, Chun was a four-year member of the volleyball squad and earned recognition as the Patriot League Player of the Year in 1991 and as a member of the league’s all-decade team. She earned a master’s degree from Colgate in 1994.
