March 1-April 9: Contact/evaluation period.
April 10-13: Dead period.
April 14-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.
April is a contact period, except for the dates noted below. All live evaluations during the April contact period are limited to events that are approved, sanctioned, sponsored or conducted by the applicable state high school, preparatory school or two-year college association, National Federation of High School Associations or the National Junior College Athletic Association and may occur at sites other than the prospect’s educational institution only on Saturday and/or Sunday and not on any weekend during which the PSAT, SAT, PLAN or ACT national standardized tests are administered. Evaluations are permissible at a prospect’s educational institution only in conjunction with an off-campus contact. Exceptions:
April 1-4 (
One men’s basketball event certified by the NCAA (see Bylaw 30.18) held in conjunction with, and conducted in, the host city of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship: Evaluation period.
April 10-13: Dead period.
Note the following exceptions to this evaluation period:
March 1-30: Contact period.
March 31-April 13: Dead period, except for one women’s basketball event certified by the NCAA (Bylaw 30.19) held in conjunction with, and conducted in, the host city of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship (evaluation period) and April 7-9 (quiet period).
April 15-16: Evaluations permitted at nonscholastic women’s basketball events.
Also:
April 19-July 5: Quiet period.
Division II Men’s Basketball

February 3-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics (an authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess the prospect’s athletics ability and one evaluation to assess the prospect’s academic qualifications during this evaluation period): Evaluation period. Those days during the April 15-May 31 period not designated evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
March 7-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics: Evaluation period. Those days during the April 15-May 31 period not designated evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
January 4-April 9: Contact/evaluation period.
April 10-13: Dead period.
April 14-May 25: Contact/evaluation period.
January 2-April 9: Contact/evaluation period.
