Community service —
The Northeast-10 Conference’s spring Student-Athlete Advisory Committee meeting featured a community-service project in which each of the 15 league schools donated at least two items of new athletics apparel and at least one bag filed with canned or nonperishable food. The project produced 74 T-shirts, 22 hats, seven pairs of shorts, five sport bags, two pairs of sweatpants, 147 canned food items and 50 boxed food items. The athletics apparel went to the Providence Boys & Girls Club, while the food was donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.© 2010 The National Collegiate Athletic Association
