Walking for a cure - University of South Carolina Aiken
The NCAA News
Walking for a cure —The University of South Carolina Aiken softball team joined other women’s teams at the school in the Walk to Cure Diabetes, which benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. South Carolina-Aiken female student-athletes raised more than $4,500 for the cause. The Lady Pacer involvement was secured when sophomore softball student-athlete Megan Lakes, who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes 11 years ago, organized a challenge to see which women’s team could raise the most money.
