Members of the 1413th Indiana National Guard Engineering Detachment study the plans for one of three house frames built April 2 during the Men’s Final Four in Indianapolis. The frames, built in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity International, were shipped to Beaumont, Texas, for placement and completion.

Above, Frank Hartman of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis explains the building process to volunteers as Melody Lawrence, NCAA associate director for community relations, and JJ Jumper look on.

Above are some of the 120 volunteers who helped frame three houses, including National Guard members who led the build. The houses were built as part of the relationship the NCAA and Habitat for Humanity International formed last fall to provide hurricane-disaster relief.
