Cooking for a cause —
For the second straight year, Siena College women’s basketball student-athletes and coaches visited the Ronald McDonald House for Charities of Albany. "We love helping those in need, and the experience helps the team bond outside of practice," said senior captain Naimah Abdullah. The Ronald McDonald House provides sleeping rooms and meals to families of children who are being treated at Albany Medical Center. The team prepared stuffed baked chicken, red beans and rice, corn bread, green salad and chocolate chip cookies. "We really enjoy coming to the House," said associate head coach Andrea Woodbury. "It feels good to be a part of something, helping families that are less fortunate than you or maybe even more fortunate than you in some ways." The team plans to maintain a relationship with the House throughout the season.© 2010 The National Collegiate Athletic Association
