The Division II_Championships Com-mittee spent much of its September 11-12 meeting discussing the use of male practice players in women’s sports, but in the end, it found the problem as vexing as other groups that have addressed the topic.
After extensive discussion, the committee referred the matter to Division II_sports committees to acquire sport-by-sport feedback.
As the home of Albright College, football is a big deal in Reading, too, and once a year, the Pretzel Bowl is more than the dish on the top right shelf in the cabinet next to the sink. It’s an opportunity for the city, the Albright athletics department, and especially the football program to distinguish itself in yet another way as part of the Shriners’ mission to assist disabled children.

Football game with the funny name has a serious purpose
Folks in Reading, Pennsylvania, take their snack foods pretty seriously.
