APRIL
Division I Baseball
March 1-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.
April 11-14: Dead period.
April 15-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Men's Basketball
March 31-April 5 (noon): Dead period.
One men's basketball event certified by the NCAA (see Bylaw 30.19) held in conjunction with, and conducted in the host city of, the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship: Evaluation period.
April 5 (noon)-April 6 (8 a.m.): Quiet period.
April 6 (8 a.m.)-April 10: Contact period. Evaluations at sites other than the prospect's educational institution may occur only on Saturday and/or Sunday, and not on any weekend during which the PSAT, SAT, PLAN or ACT national standardized tests are administered.
April 11-14: Dead period.
April 15-30: Contact period. Evaluations at sites other than the prospect's educational institution may occur only on Saturday and/or Sunday, and not on any weekend during which the PSAT, SAT, PLAN or ACT national standardized tests are administered.
Division I Women's Basketball
April 1-14: Dead period except for one women's basketball event certified by the NCAA (see Bylaw 30.19) held in conjunction with, and conducted in the host city of, the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship (evaluation period):
April 15-19: Evaluation period.
April 20-July 5: Quiet period.
Division II Men's Basketball
March 31-April 5 (noon): Dead period. Exception: Evaluation shall be permitted at any all-star contest held during the final weekend of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in the host city.
April 5 (noon)-April 11 (7 a.m.): Contact period.
April 11 (7 a.m.)-April 13 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
April 13 (7 a.m.)-May 16: Contact period.
During any high-school all-star game that occurs within the state in which the member institution is located: Evaluation period.
Division II Women's Basketball
March 1-April 1: Contact period.
April 2-6 (noon): Dead period.
April 6 (noon)-April 11 (7 a.m.): Contact period.
April 11 (7 a.m.)-April 13 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
April 13 (7 a.m.)-May 16: Contact period.
During any high-school all-star game that occurs within the state in which the member institution is located: Evaluation period.
Division I Football
February 4-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics: Evaluation period. An authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess the prospect's athletics ability and one evaluation to assess the prospect's academic qualifications during this evaluation period.
Those days in April/May 2005 not designated above for evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
Division II Football
March 8-April 14: Quiet period.
April 15-May 31: Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics: Evaluation period.
Those days in April/May not designated in for evaluation opportunities: Quiet period.
Division I Men's Lacrosse
January 4-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.
April 11-14: Dead period.
April 15-May 26: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Women's Lacrosse
January 2-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.
April 11-14, 2005: Dead period.
April 15-May 19: Contact/evaluation period.
Division I Softball
January 2-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.
April 11-14: Dead period.
April 15-May 30: Contact/evaluation period.
May 31-June 9 (noon): Dead period.
June 9 (noon)-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.
Each institution is limited to 50 evaluation days (August 1 - July 31) per Bylaw 13.02.6.2, which do not include employment of coaches in instructional camps/clinics or the observation of prospects participating in high-school softball competition.
Division I Women's Volleyball
February 19-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.
April 11-14: Dead period.
April 15-30: Contact/evaluation period.
May 1-27: Quiet period.
May 28-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.
