FEBRUARY

Division I Baseball

January 11-February 28: Quiet period.

Division I Men's Basketball

November 18, 2004-March 15: Quiet period, except for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.

Division I Women's Basketball

November 12, 2004-February 28: Quiet period, except for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.

Division II Men's Basketball

The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division II Women's Basketball

The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division I Football

January 16-29: Contact period.

January 30: Quiet period.

January 31-February 3: Dead period.

February 4-April 14: Quiet period.

Division II Football

December 1, 2004-January 31 (7 a.m.): Contact period.

January 31 (7 a.m.)-February 2 (7 a.m.): Dead period.

February 2 (7 a.m.)-March 7: Contact period.

Division I Men's Lacrosse

January 4-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.

April 11-14: Dead period.

April 15-May 26, 2005: Contact/evaluation period.

Division I Women's Lacrosse

January 2-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.

April 11-14, 2005: Dead period.

April 15-May 19: Contact/evaluation period.

Division I Softball

January 2-April 10: Contact/evaluation period.

April 11-14: Dead period.

Division I Women's Volleyball

January 1-February 18: Quiet period.

February 19-July 31: Contact/evaluation period.

April 11-14: Dead period.

May 1-27: Quiet period.

In those states that play the high-school volleyball season in the winter, contacts and evaluations are permissible January 1-February 18.
