The Interpretations Subcommittee of the Division II Legislation Committee issued the following interpretation:

Purchasing Discounted Athletics Equipment, Supplies or Clothing

The NCAA Interpretations Subcommittee of the Division II Legislation Committee confirmed that a student-athlete is prohibited from purchasing athletics equipment, supplies or clothing from a manufacturer or commercial enterprise at a discounted or reduced price that is not offered to the general student body.
