Dates and site: The championships will be March 4-5 in Northfield, Minnesota.
Field: There will be 160 competitors determined through two regional qualifying tournaments.
Qualifying dates: February 19 and 26.
2004 team champion: Wartburg.
Top team contenders: Augsburg, Wartburg, Delaware Valley, Wisconsin-La Crosse, Luther.
Championship notes: Augsburg's Matt Shankey (125), Mark Matzek (133) and Marcus LeVesseur (157) are all ranked No. 1 in their weight classes ... Wartburg's lineup includes top-ranked Dustin Hinschberger (141), Scott Kaufman (184) and Akeem Carter (197) ... Delaware Valley's Jamall Johnson (197) has recorded victories over a pair of top-10 competitors in his weight class ... Wisconsin-La Crosse's Ryan Allen was recently named the most outstanding wrestler at the Pete Wilson Invitational in Wheaton, Illinois ... Luther's Garrett South was the national runner-up at 165 in 2004.
