Penn State's AD selected as NACDA leader for 2005-06

NACDA members elected Tim Curley, director of athletics at Pennsylvania State University, to serve as president for 2005-06. Curley is a Penn State graduate and member of the athletics staff there for more than 25 years. He was named director of athletics in December 1993.

Also elected to serve the organization for the 2005-06 term were Lee McElroy, director of athletics at the University at Albany (first vice-president); Kevin White, director of athletics at the University of Notre Dame (second vice-president); Joan Cronan, director of women's athletics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (third vice-president); and Greg Feris, director of athletics at Wayland Baptist University (second year of a five-year term as secretary).

Executive Committee members selected include athletics directors Mark Murphy of Northwestern University and Rudy Davalos of the University of New Mexico as university division representatives; and Kevin McHugh of The College of New Jersey and Jim Harris of the University of Alabama, Huntsville, as college division representatives.

At-large representatives are Kelly Andrews, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator at the University of Toledo; Karl Benson, commissioner of the Western Athletic Conference; Valerie Richardson, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator at the University of California, Santa Barbara; and Dennis Thomas, commissioner of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
