Dates and sites: Regionals will be May 13-15 at eight on-campus or neutral sites. The finals will be May 22-29 at Paterson Field in Montgomery, Alabama, where Valdosta State will serve as host.
Field: Thirty-two teams, all selected at large by the Division II Baseball Committee.
Selection date: May 9.
2003 champion: Central Missouri State.
Top contenders: Central Missouri State, Rollins, North Florida, Delta State, Colorado State-Pueblo.
Championship notes: Central Missouri State, seeking its fifth straight trip to Montgomery, gained a new head coach this year when Darin Hendrickson replaced Brad Hill, who moved to Kansas State. But the Mules otherwise have picked up where they left off last season. The deep pitching staff's earned-run average of 2.69 after 46 games ranks among Division II leaders, and junior Danny Powers, who won two games in Montgomery last year but struggled with injuries through the first half of this season, threw a no-hitter April 21 against Pittsburg State ... Rollins swept Florida Southern April 23-24 in a three-game showdown between the top two teams in the South region. The Tars clinched their first Sunshine State Conference crown with the wins ... North Florida is leading the tough Peach Belt Conference behind the hitting of senior first baseman Joey Russell and outfielder Jeff Millsaps ... Delta State hasn't won a title in eight finals appearances (most recently in 2002), but has finished third four times and second twice ... Colorado State-Pueblo is seeking its first appearance in Montgomery since 1996. Its biggest challenge in the West region may come from Cal State Chico, which has gone 23-7-1 since stopping a mid-season six-game losing streak.

Field: Four teams, two of which will be selected from each of the two geographic regions, Northeast and Southwest.
Selection date: May 9.
2003 champion: New York Institute of Technology.
Top contenders: The April 26 USILA poll ranked LeMoyne, Limestone, Mercyhurst, New York Institute of Technology, Adelphi and Bryant as the top teams.
Championship notes: LeMoyne and Limestone were both undefeated going into late April -- LeMoyne at 11-0 and Limestone at 14-0. Limestone won the championship in 2002 and 2000, while LeMoyne has never won the title ... The Division II championship dates back to 1974, when Towson beat Hobart to win the first title ... A record 15,417 fans attended last year's championship in Baltimore. That shattered the old attendance record of 2,180 set in 2001.
Dates and site: The semifinals and final will be May 13 and 15 in conjunction with the Division II National Championships Festival in Orlando, Florida.
Field: Four teams.

Top contenders: The following were the top-ranked teams according to the IWLAC poll for the week of April 19-25: C.W. Post, Adelphi, West Chester, Stonehill, Limestone and Gannon.
Championship notes: C.W. Post and Adelphi remained undefeated through the latest IWLAC poll, with both schools holding records of 12-0 as of April 25 ... The Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship has been in existence since 2001. Last year's winner, Stonehill, was runner-up in 2002. Top-ranked C.W. Post won the inaugural event in 2001 ... The total championship attendance in 2003 was more than 1,500, which nearly doubled the 2002 attendance of 860.
