CORRECTIONS

REPRIMANDS

The NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee has reprimanded Loyola Marymount University assistant soccer coach Matt Mennell for misconduct displayed during the first round of the 2002 Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Specifically, the committee determined that Mennell pushed California State University, Northridge, head coach Terry Davila to the ground after the first-round contest between the schools. The committee issued a public reprimand of Mennell and also required Mennell to sit out the next NCAA tournament game in which he otherwise would be a participant. In addition, the committee implemented a $300 fine. Ordinarily, the committee would have withheld transportation and per diem reimbursement to the institution, but since Loyola Marymount was the host team, transportation and per diem reimbursements were not applicable.
