Kenyon's mastery of women's swimming continued at the Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 13-15 at Emory. The Ladies claimed their 19th title in the meet's 22-year history by compiling 560 ¹/2 points to outdistance runner-up Williams' total of 350. Host Emory was third with 298 points.

When Kenyon's Beth Galloway wasn't winning in the individual events, she was helping her team claim relay titles. Galloway won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, and contributed to wins in 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays and the 200- and 400-yard medley relays. Agnese Ozolina bolstered the Ladies with a repeat title in the 200-yard individual medley and as an anchor on four of five relay squads.

Kenyon's depth kept it ahead of a field in which a variety of schools claimed individual titles. Carleton's Marie Marsman won both the 100- and 200-yard freestyles in record times. Case Western Reserve's Alicia Kendig won the 500-yard freestyle and took second in the 1,650 behind Emory's Lindsey Hoffner. Krystle Satrum of Franklin & Marshall defended her 200-yard backstroke title, as did Williams' Lindsay Payne in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Other top performances came from Grove City's Peggy Whitbeck, who repeated in the 200-yard butterfly, and Molly Lewis of UC Santa Cruz, who won her first title in the 200-yard breaststroke.

Two new champions were crowned in diving. Cady Kashner claimed the one-meter event for Hamilton, while Caroline Crocker gave Williams the three-meter title. Rachel Gealy, the 2002 three-meter and 2001 one-meter champ, placed second in both events.
