Woody Hahn, commissioner of the Pacific West Conference, has been elected to represent the Pacific West on the Division II Management Council.
He replaces Barbara Flores of Western New Mexico University, who recently resigned her Management Council position.
Hahn has been commissioner of the Pacific West since it was created in May 1992. Before that, he was the commissioner of the Great Northwest and Continental Divide Conferences. Those conferences combined to form the Pacific West.
In the early years of the Great Northwest, Hahn also served as athletics director at Eastern Montana College (now Montana State University-Billings). He was athletics director there for 13 years before resigning in 1987 to work full time as a conference commissioner.
Hahn also is past-president of the NCAA Division II Commissioners Association. He currently serves on the Division II Nominating Committee.
Before becoming athletics director at Montana State-Billings, Hahn served as the assistant athletics director for Billings public schools for 13 years. He also was the general manager of the Billings Mustangs professional baseball team for 10 seasons.
He is a graduate of Washington State University, where he played baseball and won 20 games in three seasons. He played four seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, reaching the AAA level.
