Milestones: Philadelphia University men's basketball coach Herb Magee reached another milestone in his storied coaching career, earning his 750th career victory November 22 when his team defeated University of the Sciences, 68-51. In doing so, Magee became just the 12th NCAA coach all-time, regardless of division, to achieve the mark.

Miscellaneous: North Dakota State University women's basketball coach Amy Ruley has been selected for induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Voting for the honor is based on such factors as moral character, integrity, sportsmanship, record of performance, ability, national or international recognition, and contributions to women's basketball. Other coaches who will be inducted in this class include Sylvia Hatchell of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (a graduate of Division II Carson-Newman College), and Marian Washington of the University of Kansas. "I believe it is a testament to the quality of the student-athletes I have had the privilege of coaching and the outstanding commitment by the administration of NDSU and the Fargo community," Ruley said. "I specially thank our assistant coach Kelli Layman and our Director of Athletics Lynn Dorn, who have been part of all of our major accomplishments." At the beginning of the season, Ruley's 25-year record at North Dakota State stood at 581-151. Her teams have won five Division II championships, including four in a row from 1993-96 ... The State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome has updated the look of its Wildcat mascot. The Utica/
Rome athletics department contracted with Phoenix Design Works to produce a primary logo, a secondary logo and individual team marks for each sport. "The new Wildcat represents the tremendous changes occurring in our intercollegiate sports program," said Athletics Director Kevin Grimmer.
