The interpretations subcommittee of the Division II Legislation Committee issued the following interpretations:
Two-Year and Four-Year Degree Programs
1. Institution that Offers Two-Year and Four-Year Degree Programs. The transfer eligibility of an individual enrolled in an institution that (1) offers two-year and four-year degree programs; (2) conducts its athletics program as a member of a junior college athletic association (for example, National Junior College Athletics Association), and (3) the admissions standards are the same for those students entering a two-year degree program and those entering a four-year degree program, shall be evaluated using the two-year college transfer requirements. Progress-Toward- Degree Requirements
2. Progress-Toward-Degree Requirements -- Minimum Grade-Point Average -- Credit Hours. At the time of certification (for example, fall semester, winter quarter), a student-athlete shall meet the grade-point average requirement based on the student-athlete's completed number of semester or quarter hours.
