Aggies remain unbeaten in women's rowing championship

UC Davis successfully defended its Division II Women's Rowing Championship title May 30-June 1 at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. The Aggies claimed their second consecutive title, remaining the only team to win the Division II rowing title. Before 2002, the championship was a National Collegiate event.

Indiana and USRowing co-hosted the event, which was held in conjunction with the Divisions I and III championships.

The Aggies dominated the water, winning both the I Eights and Fours. In the I Eights, UC Davis finished in 6:51.74, while Western Washington came in second with a 6:56.60.

In the Fours, the Aggies again defeated the Vikings. UC Davis rowed in at 7:47.03 and Western Washington completed the course in 7:59.43.

UC Davis accumulated 59 points for the championship, with Western Washington second at 57 points. Mercyhurst finished third with 55 and Florida Tech placed fourth with 51.
