Division I Men's Basketball
October 6-November 20: Quiet period, except for November 11-14 (dead period).
November 21 through March 15, 2003: Quiet period, except for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.
Division I Women's Basketball
October 8-February 28, 2003: Quiet period, except for November 11-14 (dead period) and for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.
Division II Men's Basketball
October 15 to the date of the prospect's initial high-school or two-year college contest: Quiet period.
November 11 (7 a.m.)-13 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.
Division II Women's Basketball
October 15 to the date of the prospect's initial high-school or two-year college contest: Quiet period.
November 11 (7 a.m.)-13 (7 a.m.): Dead period.
The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.
Division I Football
August 1-November 30: For Division I-A, quiet period, except for six days during September, October and through the last Saturday in November selected at the discretion of the institution (an authorized off-campus recruiter may visit a particular educational institution only once during this evaluation period): Evaluation period.
Also, for Division I-AA football, quiet period except for 42 evaluation days during September, October and through the last Saturday in November (not to exceed a period of 42 calendar days) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; authorized off-campus recruiters shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one calendar day during this evaluation period.
Division II Football
November 1-30: Evaluation period.
For two-year college prospects, the conclusion of the prospect's two-year college football season (that is, the conclusion of the institution's last regularly scheduled contest rather than the conclusion of the institution's final postseason contest) through November 30: Contact period.
Division I Men's Lacrosse
September 1-November 26: Contact/evaluation period, except for November 11-14 (dead period).
November 27-December 1: Dead period.
Division I Softball
August 1-November 27: Contact/evaluation period, except for November 11-14 (dead period).
November 28-December 3: Quiet period.
Division I Women's Volleyball
August 1-December 1: Contact/evaluation period, except for November 11-14 (dead period).
