Florida Southern's Lady Mocs set a Division II Women's Golf Championships record for margin of victory, winning by 74 strokes May 15-18 at The Meadows Golf Club at Grand Valley State.

Last year, Florida Southern won the team title with a record-low 1,250. But this year's 1,234 even beat that mark.

Individually, Florida Southern golfers won the top three spots and another tied for fourth. Florida Southern sophomore Jana Peterkova won the individual title with a 306, 14 over-par. Teammates Lisa Ball (308) and Sarah Coleson (309) finished second and third, respectively. Florida Southern sophomore Rachel Bell and Longwood freshman Amanda Diamond tied for fourth at 312.

With only three holes left, teammates Peterkova and Ball were only one stroke apart. Ball bogied the 17th and Peterkova rolled in a birdie putt to secure a three-stroke lead on the 18th. Peterkova bogied the 18th, but still won by two strokes.
