Here are corrected versions of Division II softball selection criteria and the Division II football strength-of-schedule index. Related information for all Division II championships appeared in the September 30 issue of The NCAA News:
Division II softball selection criteria
Won-lost record
Overall record,
Overall Division II won-lost record,
In-region won-lost record vs. Division II and
In-region Division II non-conference won-lost record.
Strength-of-schedule index
Overall power rating (ties not included),
In-region power rating in Division II (ties not included),
In-region record vs. top 10,
In-region Division II wins on the road and
Wins vs. Division II teams .500 and above.
Eligibility and availability of student-athletes for the championship.
Tiebreaker selection criteria (in preferential order) that the committee will consider are:
Head-to-head competition (minimum of two games),
In-region power rating in Division II (ties not included) and
Season-ending performance, last 15 Division II games (final call only). Also, note conference finish.
Division II football strength-of-schedule index
Win vs. a Division II opponent with a record greater than or equal to .750 8 points
Win vs. a Division II opponent with a record greater than .500 7 points
Win vs. a Division II opponent with a record less than or equal to .500 6 points
Loss vs. a Division II opponent with a record greater than or equal to .750 5 points
Loss vs. a Division II opponent with a record greater than .500 3 points
Loss vs. a Division II opponent with a record less than or equal to .500 2 points
