Acting for the Division I Management Council, the Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet Subcommittee on Legislative Review/Interpretations issued the following interpretation:
Telephone Calls/Official Visits/Men's Basketball
Telephone Calls Before Official Visit -- Men's Basketball. It is permissible for an institution's coaching staff member to make unlimited telephone calls to a men's basketball prospect during the five days before the prospect's official visit that occurs during the prospect's junior year in high school.
