Division I Men's Division I Ice Hockey Championship: In anticipation of an expanded championship bracket for the 2003 Division I Men's Division I Ice Hockey Championship, the Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee is soliciting bids for interested parties to host regional competition for the years 2003 and 2004. Bids are due May 31. Regional bids will be reviewed and sites will be selected during the committee's annual meeting June 4-7. Pending final approval of bracket expansion by the NCAA Executive Committee in August, the recommended sites will be forwarded to the Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet at its September meeting.

Dates for the proposed additional regionals in 2003 would be March 28-29 (Midwest Regional) and March 29-30 (Northeast Regional). The existing regionals for 2003 are the East Regional (March 28-29 at Worcester, Massachusetts) and the West Regional (March 29-30 in Ann Arbor, Michigan). Dates for the proposed additional regionals in 2004 would be March 26-27 (Northeast Regional) and March 27-28 (Midwest Regional). The existing regionals for 2004 are the West Regional (March 26-27 in Colorado Springs, Colorado) and the East Regional (March 27-28 in Albany, New York).
