Richard Stockton turned rain into reign November 24 when it claimed its first Division III Men's Soccer Championship. Playing through a constant drizzle at Messiah, the Ospreys emerged with a 3-2 victory over Redlands.

The two finalists traded goals before Richard Stockton junior Mike McAlamen headed home the game-winner off a corner shot from senior Jeff Moore with 31:12 remaining in the game.

The Ospreys (26-1) scored their first goal just under four minutes into the game when junior John Epley received a pass from teammate Greg Ruttler and beat Redlands goalkeeper Geoff Raives.

Redlands knotted the count less than 10 minutes later when sophomore Justin Wells scored from 12 yards out.

Richard Stockton answered before the break with a goal by senior Rashid Hawkins.

Redlands scored first in the second half on another Wells goal, but McAlamen's goal 14 minutes into the half proved to be the game-winner.

Richard Stockton goalkeeper Brett Steinberg made three saves during the game, while Redlands goalkeeper Geoff Raives made one.

Redlands finished the season 20-4.
