2000 team champion: St. Augustine's.

Selection date: The spots remaining in the field after the automatic qualifiers are entered will be filled from the descending-order list of provisional qualifiers May 21.

2000 team champion: Lincoln (Pennsylvania).

Top team contenders: Lincoln (Pennsylvania), Wheaton (Massachusetts), Williams, Wisconsin-La Crosse, Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

All three divisions broke or tied the mark for most teams scoring last year. New highs were established in Divisions I (72) and II (53), and Division III tied its previous best of 76, first set in 1998.
