The NCAA Men's Lacrosse Committee has rescinded a January 26 ruling that declared the Warrior Big Nasty goalie stick and Monsoon goalie glove illegal for NCAA play.

Although the decision has been rescinded, the committee has not reduced its concern about the effect those products and others like them may have on the integrity of NCAA lacrosse play.

In the coming months, the lacrosse committee will review its current specifications, evaluate other products in the marketplace, and consult with manufacturers in order to adopt and modify standards applicable to all manufacturers that it believes will protect the integrity of the game.

The men's lacrosse rules book suggests and the committee emphasizes that manufacturers should submit innovative equipment to the committee for review before production.
