Conferences: The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has announced the launching of its Web site at www.nescac.com. The site features a variety of information about the conference, including links to conference members, media outlets and conference championship information. Members of the NESCAC are: Amherst College, Bates College Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Trinity College (Connecticut), Tufts University, Wesleyan University (Connecticut) and Williams College.

Sports sponsorship: College Misericordia will begin varsity competition in three new sports, men's lacrosse and men's and women's track and field, in 2000-01 ... Western Maryland College has elevated its women's golf team to varsity status after one year of club competition. Mike Diehl will continue to coach the squad.

Milestones: Henry Christowski, Simpson College, 200 victories in softball.

Miscellaneous: Cornell College has begun using a new Ram logo, designed by alumnus Matt Miller, a former football player at the school. Miller, a multimedia designer/producer, was the quarterback of the Rams' 1992 conference championship team. He also earned an NCAA postgraduate scholarship, as did his father, Steve Miller, a 1965 graduate of Cornell and the school's first NCAA postgraduate scholar

... Kalamazoo College has unveiled a new athletics logo, designed by Kalamazoo resident Paul Sizer.
