Championships notes: Drury dethroned Cal State Bakersfield in 1999. Marcin Malinski, last year's swimmer of the meet, and Dean Lehmkuhler, last year's diver of the meet, lead a strong list of returning all-Americans and national champions for the Panthers. As of early February, Drury regained the No. 1 ranking from Cal State Bakersfield, which had wrestled it away for most of January. Missouri-Rolla and UC Davis are at third and fourth in the rankings, respectively, and could play the role of spoilers.
