Championships results will be published in the March 27 issue of The NCAA News.
Championships notes: There's a change of scenery for the championships after five years at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. The question is whether the site change will break the stranglehold Abilene Christian and St. Augustine's have on the top two team spots. Both institutions have seven team titles, with Abilene Christian winning the last four. Southeast Missouri State won the first championships in 1985, and no other school besides Abilene Christian or St. Augustine's has done so since. Both are at the top of the title contention list again. Deworski Odom won both the 55-meter dash and hurdles last year for St. Augustine's, a first in Division II men's history, and he has the top times in both events thus far this season. The Falcons' Tim Rusan and Dane Magloire are currently 1-2 in the triple jump. Abilene Christian has athletes seeded in the top five in seven events, including John Kemboi (mile run) and Terrance Woods (high jump) in the first positions.
