Florida Southern led from wire to wire and won its third straight Division II Men's Golf Championship, besting the field by 29 shots at Turlock Country Club in Turlock, California, May 16-19.

The Moccasins, who fired a 12-under-par 1,140 total, won their 11th championship and third in a row. Grand Canyon and Cal State Bakersfield finished in a tie for second place. Host institution Cal State Stanislaus (1,176) finished fourth, followed by West Florida (1,182).

Florida Southern's Jeff Klauk turned in scores of 69, 67, 71 and 68, a 13-under-par total of 275, to easily win medalist honors. Klauk tied for second a year ago.

Klauk outdistanced West Florida's Bryan Clarke, who shot 68-73-71-70 -- 282. Cal St. Bakersfield's Kevin Klebe tied for third with Florida Southern's Alex Renard at 285. Brian Flugstad of Western Washington posted a 287 total to round out the top five.

Florida Southern opened a 10-shot lead on the tournament's first day, shooting a 282 total, and never trailed.
