Field: A total of 64 teams will be selected, 29 of which are conference champions.
Dates and sites: First and second rounds are March 16 and 18 in Cleveland and Minneapolis (Midwest), and Salt Lake City and Tucson, Arizona (West); March 17 and 19 in Buffalo, New York, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina (East); and Nashville, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama (South). Regionals are March 23 and 25 in Auburn Hills, Michigan (Midwest); Albuquerque, New Mexico (West); Syracuse, New York (East); and Austin, Texas (South). The Final Four will be in Indianapolis, with the semifinals played April 1 and the finals April 3.

Championship notes: The polls have had Cincinnati ranked No. 1 for most of the season. Michigan State and Ohio State both are contenders to return to the Final Four. Arizona won the last time Indianapolis hosted the Final Four (1997).
