Division I institutions that sponsor indoor track and field should note that 11 events have been approved as "last-chance meets" for the purpose of qualifying for the NCAA championships March 10-11 at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
A recent mailing from the national office did not contain a complete list of meets. The complete list of host institutions and organizations approved by the NCAA Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee, and the date(s) of the meets, is as follows:
* University of Colorado, Boulder (March 3-4)
* University of Florida (March 2)
* University of Idaho (March 3-4)
* Idaho State University (March 4)
* Indiana University, Bloomington (March 3)
* Iowa State University (March 3)
* Louisiana State University (March 3)
* University of Notre Dame (March 3)
* University of Oklahoma (March 4)
* University of Wyoming (March 3)
* USA Track and Field Indoor Championships in Atlanta (March 3-4)
Proof-of-performance forms for any student-athlete who meets either an automatic or provisional standard from these meets must be submitted via fax (650/625-1739) or e-mail to Bob Podkaminer (rpodkam@aol.com) by 6 p.m. (Eastern time) March 4.
