Kenneth E. Luciani, president and co-owner of Worldtek Travel, died June 20 at his home in New Haven, Connecticut.

Luciani and his brother, Topper, began their relationship with the NCAA two decades ago when the firm entered into the role of arranging all NCAA championships travel. The last three letters in "Worldtek" were based on the initials "T&K" (Topper and Kenneth). Worldtek now manages all NCAA travel, including championships, staff and committee travel.

Luciani had an extensive background in athletics. He was an all-state football and ice hockey player in high school, played football for the University of Connecticut, and played on farm teams for the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. He also served as a college football referee for many years.
