The NCAA health and safety staff has received more than 125 requests this semester for the Speakers Grant to fund an expert on alcohol/drugs or other health issues to speak to student-athletes and staff at NCAA member institutions. Applications are now being accepted for programs scheduled for the second semester. The Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports reallocated funds so more requests could be honored this academic year. This is a first-come, first served program, and it's never too soon to send in your application for the spring.
