The NCAA, Host Communications, Inc.; and Quokka Sports, Inc., have extended their partnership for official online coverage of 40 NCAA championships through the 2002 spring season. Through this agreement, Quokka Sports, in conjunction with Host Communications and NCAA Online, will continue to produce NCAAChampionships.com, the official championships Web site of the NCAA, and FinalFour.net, the official site for the Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Championships. The agreement also ensures continued coverage of other notable college championship events such as the Men's College World Series. Additionally, Quokka Sports has been granted the exclusive license to create and host the official Web destination for NCAA merchandise. Quokka Sports, a leading provider of digital sports entertainment, offers unique digital entertainment experiences, including digital photo and video images, in-depth data analysis, community chats, expert commentary and other notable features. "Our digital entertainment experiences, including our Totalcast live event coverage, make FinalFour.net and NCAA Championships.com leading online destinations for collegiate sports fans to follow their favorite NCAA teams in a variety of sports," said Alvaro Saralegui, president and chief executive officer of Quokka Sports.
