Reminder: The deadline for nominations for September 2000 vacancies is November 26, 1999. Please refer to the chart in the October 11 issue of The NCAA News for a complete listing of vacancies.Any division
Previously announced vacancies
The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancies is December 6, 1999.
Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports: One vacancy. The appointee must have expertise in the area of drug education and may be from any division.
Memorial Resolutions Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Judith L. Ray, University of New Hampshire, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from Division I-AAA.
Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Carol Hightower-Parker, Texas Southern University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from Division I-AA.
Division I
Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division I Field Hockey Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Marilyn McNeil, Monmouth University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must represent the Mid-Atlantic region and must be from either Division I-AA or Division I-AAA.
Division I Women's Softball Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Linda Herman, Illinois State University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from either Division I-AA or Division I-AAA, and preferably from the West, Midwest or Northeast regions.
The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancy is November 24, 1999.
Division I Baseball Committee: The appointee will replace Michael Knight, previously of Nicholls State University, who has resigned from the committee.
Division II
Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and
Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division II Committee on Infractions: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Kathryn Wilson, Moorhead State University, who has resigned from the committee.
Division II Nominating Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Phillip Roach, Rollins College, who has resigned from the committee.

Division II Championships Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Sallie Dalton, University of Central Arkansas, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee preferably will be from region 4.
Division II Membership Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Mary T. Gardner, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from region 1.
Women's Basketball Rules Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Megan Henry, University of West Florida, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from region 2 and must be an athletics administrator.
Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Pete Oliszczak, formerly of the University of North Dakota, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must represent men's swimming and be an athletics administrator.
Women's Rowing Committee: One Division II vacancy. The appointee will replace William Jurgens, Florida Institute of Technology, who is not eligible for reappointment.
Division III
Division III individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division III. A Division III nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

The appointee must be an athletics administrator from the New England region. The appointee may not be from the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Cathy Benton, Emory University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must represent women's tennis and be from the South region.

Division III Women's Lacrosse Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Anna Meyer, Hartwick College, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the New York region and may not be from the Empire Athletic Association.

Division III Budget Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Judith Sweet, University of California, San Diego, who is not eligible for reappointment. The appointee must be an athletics administrator from region 4.
Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee: One student-athlete vacancy. The student-athlete preferably will be from region 2.
