Division III Women's Volleyball

Field: Forty-eight teams will compete for the title. Six teams from each of eight regions will be selected.

Dates and sites: All matches will be played at on-campus sites. Eight six-team regionals will be played November 11-13. Quarterfinals will be played November 20. The championship finals will be conducted December 3-4.

Championship notes: Defending champion Central (Iowa) hasn't missed a beat since winning last year's crown. The Dutch jumped out to a 17-0 record this season with five starters returning from the 1998 national championship roster. Abbie Brown, the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Player of the Year, leads this year's title defense ... UC San Diego, last year's runner-up, dropped a match early to Division II Cal State Los Angeles but has rallied for a 13-1 record through early October.
