Division II Women's Volleyball

Field: Thirty-two teams will be selected to vie for the national championship.

Dates and sites: Eight four-team regionals will be played at on-campus locations November 19-20 or 20-21. Semifinals and finals will be played December 2-4 at Kellogg Arena in Battle
Creek, Michigan.

Championship notes: Brigham Young-Hawaii more than avenged last year's NCAA tournament loss to defending champion Hawaii Pacific by taking two of three matches against the Sea Warriors and posted a 14-1 record to open the season. Brigham Young-Hawaii returns two all-Americans from a team that advanced to last year's regional championship. Similarly, Hawaii Pacific returns all three of its 1998 all-tournament team members and has sustained only two losses this season, both to Brigham Young-Hawaii ... The 1998 runner-up, North Dakota State, returns two all-tournament honorees to the court and sported a 16-3 record through early October.
