Quarterback Chris Greisen tossed a tournament-record 13 touchdown passes in the Bearcats' four playoff games. Carson-Newman, which has lost to the eventual national champion in the playoffs for six straight years, is once again among the top teams in the division. The Eagles, who rallied from a 17-point deficit in a win over Catawba, are 5-0 and ranked first in the NCAA poll through games of October 3. The Midwest region has three of the poll's top seven teams -- No. 2 Northern Colorado, No. 5 Nebraska-Omaha and the defending champion in the seventh position.
