Hall of Champions tabs agency
The NCAA has named Caldwell VanRiper/MARC as its agency of record for advertising and promotions for the NCAA Hall of Champions.
"We were very impressed with Caldwell's depth and experience," said James W. Shaffer, director of the Hall of Champions. "With its strong history of success in promoting tourism, building patron traffic and conducting national media relations, we believe Caldwell VanRiper/MARC will prove to be an excellent match for our needs."
Paula R. MacVittie, president and chief executive officer of Caldwell VanRiper/MARC, said the agreement with the Hall of Champions is a "high-prestige account that will benefit from our extensive sports marketing experience.
"When it opens, the NCAA Hall of Champions will possess exceedingly remarkable and unique attributes from local, regional and national perspectives. That, plus the fact that the Hall will promote the role of sports in character- and values-building, will make this account a delight to work on."
Caldwell VanRiper/MARC partnered with Promotus Advertising, a prominent minority-owned Indiana firm, to assist in community-relations development.
"Added to Caldwell's extensive community networking contacts, Promotus strengthened the depth of diversity outreach, which is extremely important to the Hall of Champions and the NCAA," Shaffer said. "We look forward to working with both CVR/MARC and Promotus as we build strong relationships within Indianapolis."
Caldwell VanRiper/MARC is part of the national MARC USA organization, which includes MARC agencies in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.
